you learn how to make do. A bottle of

wine can be uncorked with a screwdriver

if need be. Messy perhaps. You’ll

probably stain your shirt. But in the end

… a nice glass of cabernet.

The tools to deal with this life

are not the ones I expected to use.

You learn to reach for whatever

else works when you have a

sprained ankle, or a sprained heart,

and there is no ice at hand.
